The remains of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, arrived in Abuja Saturday morning from Lagos, and have been buried at Gudu cemetery after funeral prayers at his residence.

At least 54 vehicles burnt and scores of people burnt beyond recognistion, the incident happened around 5 pm on the Otedola Bridge of the expressway with many motorists trapped, as the tanker which was leaving Lagos lost control and subsequently crashed and spilled its 33,000-litre content.

Some Chiboks girls refused to be freed

Zannah Mustapha, a lawyer and negotiator, who was part of the team that facilitated the release of 82 of the Chibok schoolgirls abducted three years ago by Boko Haram, on Monday, told Thomson Reuters Foundation that some of the girls refused to be freed.

Mustapha,57, said some of the abducted girls refused to go home, fuelling fears that they have been radicalized by the jihadists, and may feel afraid, ashamed or even too powerful to return to their old lives.

Actress Kate Henshaw Wednesday evening took to her IG page to announce that she and the NGO she has been working with, ProjectAlert, would be refunding monies she solicited from the public for the treatment of baby Michael Alvez who has a cancerous growth on his face. Kate and the Project Alert team have been having a running battle with Michael's family over who manages the money.
According to Kate, instead of her allowing the family have direct access to the money which is quite substantial, she would rather refund the money to those that have donated towards the treatment of the baby.

Clash of the Titans, Army and Police fights leaving 4 civilians dead (PHOTOS)

Four persons have been confirmed dead in a clash between some Army and Police officers in Damaturu, Yobe state Wednesday, April 12th. According to reports, the clash started following the abduction of the Mopol commandant in charge 41, Damaturu, by some Army officials. The abducted commandant was said to have been moving in a convoy Tuesday when a man intercepted his convoy. The police officers attached to him harassed the man, not knowing that he was an Army officer.
