Since early morning, the Responder crew engaged in the rescue of three over-crowded, dangerously deflated, rubber boats. Thankfully all 434 individuals were brought safely aboard. Among them are 8 children who are now being cared for by the Red Cross medical team. more photos after the cut....
Meanwhile in our area of operation, other search and rescue assets engaged in the rescue of a further 6 vessels. Migrants and refugees continue to attempt the crossing despite the changing weather and increasingly dangerous conditions.
