Good news as migrants were rescued in the Mediterranean sea with no casualties recorded, thanks to the rapid response of the MOAS crew. In their own words.
After days of silence in the Mediterranean as a result of bad weather & rough seas, our search-and-rescue have spent today conducting multiple save and rescue operations since the early hours of the day. The Responder has taken on board 224 people from 2 small wooden boats and an inflatable rubber boat that was carrying an astounding 170 people. Thankfully all were safely rescued & the RedCross team on board provided medical care to all.
